May 7, 2009 - Question About Possible Solution To Same Sex Marriage
Marriage is being defined as purely a religious word, and consequently is being held to religious standards in the US. Should Marriage be taken out of the Government Dictionary and be replaced with Union? Marriage could be for couples that want to affirm a life bond between man, woman, and God, while Union could be for couples that want to affirm a life bond financially and in shared responsiblility for action. Does this sound good? Bad? Does it offend you? Does it seem obvious? You decide!

California, and the US, has had a long history of proposistions aimed at tackling the same sex marriage topic. Propostition 22 and the famous Prop 8 both set legislation in California banning same sex marriage. Prop 22 was reversed and Prop 8 is constantly challenged.
